Alex studied at the University of Geneva to obtain both his B.Sc and M.Sc. in chemistry. After completing internships focusing on solid state ion selective electrodes and proteomics he joined the Laboratory of Polymers (Prof. Harm-Anton Klok) at EPFL for his Master's thesis. He worked on the synthesis of non-centro symmetric block copolymer thin films using SI-ATRP.

Alex is carrying out his doctoral thesis in the group of Inge Herrmann at Empa St. Gallen where he works on the surface engineering of inorganic nanoparticles and their interactions with biological systems. Welcome!
