New guest: Prof. Erlantz Lizundia
Erlantz Lizundia joins our group to work on cellulose-inorganic nanoparticle based aerogels for catalytic, energy storage and water purification applications.
Erlantz Lizundia received his PhD in Advanced Materials Engineering in 2011 at the University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU), which was recognized with the Extraordinary Doctoral Award. He has been working as a Postdoctoral researcher in several groups at Tomas Bata University, University of the Basque Country and University of the British Columbia on polylactide and cellulose nanocrystal based materials. In September 2016 he was appointed Associate Professor at the Bilbao School of Engineering (UPV/EHU). His areas of interest cover novel biodegradable and renewable polymer-based nanohybrids for environmentally friendly packaging, bioimaging, sensing, energy storage and water purification applications.
Erlantz Lizundia will stay in our group until July 2018.
