New Member Luca Vigliotti
Welcome Luca! We wish him the very best for his PhD where he will work on the topic of "photo-rechargeable Zinc-ion batteries".
Luca studied at ETH Zurich, where he obtained his Bachelor's degree in Chemistry (2021) and his Master's degree in Chemistry (2023), during which he worked in the groups of Prof. Erick Carreira and Prof. Helma Wennemers. He then completed his master's thesis in the group of Roger Schibli in the Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences at the Department of Chemistry and Applied Biosciences, where he worked on developing new methods to obtain 18F/19F-trifluoromethylated arenes, with a focus on synthetic organic electrochemistry.
After his graduation, he joined our group for six months to work with qCella for optimisation and upscaling efforts as well as the performance of quality measurements and analyses and fabrication of working prototypes.
In August 2024, Luca returned to our group for his PhD where he will be working on photo-rechargeable Zinc-ion batteries.
