New guest: Mariana Micheletto

We are pleased to welcome Mariana Chaves Micheletto as our new visiting PhD student. During her stay, Mariana will work on the activation of photosensitive proteins using radioluminescent nanoparticles and X-rays.

Mariana holds a Bachelor’s degree in Medical Physics and a Master’s degree from the Physics Department of the Faculty of Philosophy, Sciences and Languages of Ribeirão Preto/University of São Paulo (FFCLRP/USP), Brazil. She is currently a PhD student from the Postgraduate Program in Physics Applied to Medicine and Biology (FAMB) of the same Department.

During her stay, Mariana will work on the development of radioluminescent nanoparticles (capable of converting ionizing radiation into UV-visible light) for activating photosensitive proteins through X-rays.

Mariana joined our laboratory as a visiting PhD student in March 2022 and will stay for a year. Welcome!
