Aleksandra studied Materials Science and Engineering at Imperial College London. For her Masters project, she focussed on all-solid state Li metal batteries (Dr Ainara Aguadero). She gained additional research experience through summer internships, working on plasma-functionalisation of graphene (2018, Haydale Ltd.) and investigating glucose-responsive hydrogels (2017, Universität Duisburg-Essen, Prof. Dr Mathias Ulbricht). Upon achieving her MEng diploma in 2019, she spent a year working as a graduate research engineer at the National Composites Centre (Bristol), where she was involved in projects from various industries - from aerospace, through oil & gas, renewable energy to recycling and sustainability.

In November 2020 Alex joined our group to begin her PhD on batteries and battery materials under the supervision of Professor Markus Niederberger. Welcome!
