Ana Laura Luna studied at the Instituto Politécnico Nacional in Mexico, where she obtained both a bachelor’s and a master's degree in Chemical Engineering. She pursued her doctoral studies in Chemistry at the University of Paris-Saclay in France. Her Ph.D. project was based on the elaboration and characterization of photocatalysts modified by metal nanoparticles obtained by gamma radiolysis. After that, she did a postdoctoral stay in Helmholtz-Zentrum Geesthacht in Germany where she worked on the preparation of photoelectrodes for water splitting devices.
Laura’s current research is focused on the development of hybrid aerogels by co-assembling nanosheets and metal nanoparticles and their use as photocatalysts in CO2 reduction. Welcome!
